Business Health – How Do You Treat Your Labour?

Your business is something more than a place where you earn money. Rather, you must treat it like an organic being that interacts, grows, evolves and, if not taken care of, dies. In such a scenario, it is important to assess the health of your business on a regular basis. Should you relax simply because you are earning a lot of money?
Well, many individuals were adopted this approach only to find that the profits that you earn can hardly be called the right parameter of the health of your business. If you want to assess the health of your business, find out more about the labour turnover rate of your organization. How often do you have put out recruitment ads in newspapers? How much do you pay to your HR service provider for recruitment purposes?
If people are leaving your business very often and if you are not in a position to manage your labour, it is an obvious indication that the business is not in good health. On the other hand, a firm that manages to retain quality and skilled labor for long durations despite the fact that it is not the most glamorous one around is obviously a healthy firm.
Treat your firm like a family and your employees as family members. Those who leave the firm because of poor working conditions or bad culture will obviously not speak well about the firm. This is going to create a vicious cycle where you will lose the race for survival despite earning regular profits.
